Basketball Game Preview: Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs vs. Peetz Bulldogs

The Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs will head out to take on the Peetz Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Haxtun is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Otis on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Haxtun was outmatched by Otis and fell 68-39. The Fightin' Bulldogs have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Peetz, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They took down Arickaree 68-53 on Wednesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their 28-point performance the match before.

Peetz's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Haxtun, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Haxtun came up short against Peetz when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 67-57. Thankfully for Haxtun, Noah Naegele (who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
