Softball Recap: Highlands Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

The matchup between Highlands and Seguin on Friday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. Highlands lost 16-4 to Seguin. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Owls have suffered since February 13th.

Highlands saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Analia Aparicio, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Alythia Aparicio also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Highlands' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Seguin, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Highlands Owls face off against Brackenridge Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Highlands is facing Brackenridge at the right time seeing as Brackenridge is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Seguin, they will take on Floresville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
