Warwick and Goshen Central pushed the score to 17-14 the last time they played Goshen Central, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Gladiators 2-1. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 17-14 loss the last time these two teams met.

Warwick saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Hennessy, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Warwick and bumps their season record up to 4-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Goshen Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warwick will square off against North Rockland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Goshen Central, they will face off against Minisink Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
