Preview: Muncie Central Bearcats vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings
The Muncie Central Bearcats will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Muncie Central is ranked 138th, while Tippecanoe Valley is ranked 151st).
Last Friday, Muncie Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-52 to Lapel.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was DeMarkis Cole, who scored 16 points. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Xaviya Cook was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Tippecanoe Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 25 points or more this season. They breezed by Rochester at home to the tune of 70-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tippecanoe Valley.
Muncie Central's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
