Volleyball Recap: Temple Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Temple took on Villa Rica on Thursday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Tuesday.

Temple was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22.

Jamey Hennelly went supernova For Villa Rica., getting ten digs and two aces. Hennelly has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Temple has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Villa Rica, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Temple will challenge Oak Mountain Academy on Tuesday. As for Villa Rica, they will square off against Pepperell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
