Meyersdale has gone a perfect 10-0 against Rockwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Red Raiders will challenge the Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Meyersdale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Meyersdale needed a bit of extra time to put away Allegany. They had just enough and edged out the Campers 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Raiders have posted since April 17, 2024.

Isabella Sleasman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Sleasman wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Hainsworth, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Amber Long, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Berlin Brothersvalley hit Rockwood with a seven-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rockets came up short against the Mountaineers, falling 12-2. The Rockets have struggled against the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Rockwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Meyersdale, their record is now 7-4.

Rockwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Meyersdale has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Rockwood, though, as they've been averaging 11.9 hits. Given Meyersdale's sizable advantage in that area, the Rockets will need to find a way to close that gap.

Meyersdale took their win against Rockwood in their previous meeting on April 3rd by a conclusive 15-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
