Forest is 9-1 against Vanguard since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Forest Wildcats will be playing at home against the Vanguard Knights at 7:00 p.m. Both have allowed few goals on average, (Forest: 0.3, Vanguard: 0.3) so any goals scored will be well earned.

Forest gave up the first goal on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged West Port out 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats who have now won three contests in a row.

Meanwhile, Vanguard's matchup on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They never let Lake Weir onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by three goals or more this season.

Forest's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Vanguard, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1-1.

Forest was able to grind out a solid victory over Vanguard in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 3-1. Will Forest repeat their success, or does Vanguard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
