Volleyball Recap: Algoma Takes a Loss

Algoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ashwaubenon Jaguars.

Algoma might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Ashwaubenon: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24.

Malorie Erickson had a dynamite game For Ashwaubenon., getting seven aces and five digs. Those seven aces gave Erickson a new career-high.

Algoma's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Ashwaubenon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-11.

Algoma didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Crivitz on the 27th. As for Ashwaubenon, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Sevastopol on the 27th.
