Softball Recap: Des Arc Beats Barton for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Des Arc came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Barton Bears get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Des Arc let Grace Knight and Emma Buckner run wild. Knight went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI, while Buckner went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two triples gave Knight a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Fowler, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Des Arc always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Des Arc pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
