Volleyball Game Preview: Ogden Tigers vs. Providence Hall Patriots

After both having extra time off, the Ogden Tigers and the Providence Hall Patriots will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Ogden will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each matchup than the last.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Ogden turned things around against Logan two weeks ago. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Grizzlies.

Ogden was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-18, 17-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Providence Hall suffered their biggest defeat since October 2nd last Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Delta. The Patriots have struggled against the Rabbits recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-9.

Ogden's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Providence Hall, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Ogden took their win against Providence Hall when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
