Basketball Recap: Gibsland-Coleman Beats Ringgold for Their Fourth Straight Win

Gibsland-Coleman had won three straight games and Samora Sampson did her part to make it four on Wednesday. The Gibsland-Coleman Bulldogs blew past the Ringgold Redskins 50-21 thanks in part to Sampson, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Her afternoon made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Allen, who went 6 for 13 en route to 14 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Gibsland-Coleman has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.1 points per game. As for Ringgold, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibsland-Coleman will host Summerfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ringgold, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Red River at 6:00 p.m.
