Basketball Game Preview: Rockwell Christian School Chargers vs. Victory Christian Cardinals

Having just played yesterday, the Rockwell Christian School Chargers will get right back to it and host the Victory Christian Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Rockwell Christian School ended up a good deal behind Cramerton Christian Academy and lost 43-29. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They managed a 53-48 win over the Sharks.

Victory Christian's win came from a few key players Rockwell Christian School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Marissa Sloan, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karis Vernelson, who went 6 for 9 en route to 13 points and eight rebounds.

The victory got Victory Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Rockwell Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Rockwell Christian School came up short against Victory Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 51-47.
