Cortez has gone 5-0 against Tempe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cortez Colts will head out on the road to take on the Tempe Buffaloes at 5:30 p.m. Cortez will be strutting in after a win while Tempe will be coming in after a loss.

Cortez took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Coronado by a score of 51-43. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Colts as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Tempe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a hard 55-36 fall against Dysart.

Tempe's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cortez, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Cortez didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Tempe when the teams last played on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 55-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cortez since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
