Basketball Recap: Worthington Christian Comes Up Short

Worthington Christian was the 50-46 winner over Madison Plains when they last played one another back in January of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Worthington Christian Warriors took a 41-24 bruising from the Madison Plains Golden Eagles on Thursday.

Madison Plains found their leader in freshman Anna Stroup, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Stroup's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Reeves, who posted seven points.

Worthington Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Madison Plains, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Worthington Christian will take on Bishop Ready at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Madison Plains, they will square off against Catholic Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
