Volleyball Recap: Caroline Armstrong and Olivia Frey Secure Win for Johnson Creek

Johnson Creek waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Rio Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bluejays also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Johnson Creek easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17.

Leading Johnson Creek to victory were Olivia Frey and Caroline Armstrong. Frey had 20 assists, while Armstrong had seven digs and seven aces. That's the most aces Armstrong has posted since back in September.

Johnson Creek's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Rio, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 21 of their last 24 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-25 record this season.

Coincidentally, Johnson Creek and Rio will both be playing Horicon the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will head out to face the Marshmen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
