Softball Recap: Woodland Park Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Woodland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against The Academy Wildcats, falling 14-7.

Christine Renteria made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Phillips, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Woodland Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for The Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Woodland Park will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Sand Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Academy, they will take on Greeley Central at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday.
