Basketball Recap: Midlothian Piles Up the Points Against Crandall

After losing to Crandall the last time they met, Midlothian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Midlothian Panthers blew past the Crandall Pirates, posting a 65-32 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

JACOB ALMODOVAR was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 11 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Mason, who posted five points and nine rebounds.

Midlothian was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Midlothian pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Crandall, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Midlothian Panthers take on the Terrell Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crandall, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Red Oak at 8:00 p.m.
