Volleyball Recap: Cheshire Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Foran + How To Watch

Cheshire faced Foran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

While Cheshire had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 13-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Marissa Mudry and Maeve Zbikowski, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Lauren Kilpatrick and her 24 assists.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Foran, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cheshire will face off against rival Lauralton Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Foran is set to challenge their familiar foe Shelton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
