Basketball Game Preview: Muskogee Roughers vs. Stillwater Pioneers

The Muskogee Roughers will head out to challenge the Stillwater Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Muskogee is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Muskogee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Bixby by a score of 82-80 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Roughers have suffered since December 15, 2023.

Meanwhile, Stillwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Westmoore at home by a 68-51 margin. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Jaguars are ranked 40th).

Muskogee's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Stillwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.

Muskogee beat Stillwater 64-57 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Muskogee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
