Basketball Game Preview: Brashear Tigers vs. Green City Gophers

Brashear is 0-10 against Green City since January of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Brashear Tigers will be playing at home against the Green City Gophers at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Brashear turned things around against Bevier on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats 59-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted since February 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Green City put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 77-27 victory over Novinger. Given the Gophers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Wildcats are ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Green City's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Brashear, their victory bumped their record up to 2-10.

Brashear was taken down by Green City 86-46 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Brashear was down 47-24.
