Soccer Game Preview: Community Christian vs. Creekside Christian Academy

The Community Christian Knights will host the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Community Christian headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Young Americans Christian let them put that streak behind them. Community Christian was the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over Young Americans Christian on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Community Christian's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Creekside Christian Academy). They never let Skipstone Academy get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. Creekside Christian Academy haven't had any issues with Skipstone Academy recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Creekside Christian Academy's offense was hitting Skipstone Academy from everywhere, as nine different players booted in a goal. Sophia Dewing led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Creekside Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Community Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Community Christian might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Creekside Christian Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Community Christian was down 4-0.
