Basketball Game Preview: Enterprise Wildcats vs. Central Red Devils

The Enterprise Wildcats will face off against the Central Red Devils on Friday. Enterprise knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge.

Enterprise is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Dothan, who was ranked sixth at the time (Enterprise was ranked 23rd). The Wildcats strolled past the Wolves with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 70-51. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Enterprise got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tucker Wadsworth out in front who shot 57% from the field en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Freeman, who posted 14 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Central and Opelika squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Central had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 67-46.

Central's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-11. As for Enterprise, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home.

Enterprise couldn't quite get it done against Central when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as they fell 83-75. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
