Baseball Recap: Sunset Takes Down Ranked Thurston

Sunset faced Thurston in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Apollos skirted past the Colts 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Apollos have posted since April 9th.

Sunset's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Thurston, the loss snapped their winning streak at 17 games and leaves them with a 21-3 record.
