Recap: Cuero Gobblers vs. Greenwood Rangers
The Cuero Gobblers waltzed into Friday's matchup with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greenwood 62-20 on the road. Cuero might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven games by 26 points or more this season.
Arissa Carbonara continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Cuero's points. Aubrey Bowles was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Cuero's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Greenwood, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Cuero's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wimberley at 5:30 p.m. on December 1st. Wimberley is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Greenwood, they will take on Roma at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Roma presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Greenwood in Texas (Roma is ranked 416th, while Greenwood is ranked 988th).
