Soccer Game Preview: Splendora vs. Lorena

The Splendora Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Lorena Leopards at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Splendora's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Splendora took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Stafford, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Spartans 2-1.

Meanwhile, Lorena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Dayton, falling 8-0.

Splendora is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. As for Lorena, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
