Basketball Recap: Whittier RVT Comes Up Short

Whittier RVT lost against Greater Lowell Tech back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Whittier RVT Wildcats fell just short of the Greater Lowell Tech Gryphons by a score of 55-52. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Gryphons are ranked 86th).

Whittier RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Greater Lowell Tech, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Whittier RVT Wildcats duke it out with the Ipswich Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greater Lowell Tech, they will take on Lynn Vo-Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
