Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Park Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lincoln Park Academy can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the King's Academy Lions on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2016.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-6, 25-11.

Leading King's Academy to victory were Hunter Saltalamacchia and Alanis Molina. Saltalamacchia had 17 assists and two aces, while Molina had four digs and two assists. Saltalamacchia has been hot, having posted 16 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Lincoln Park Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for King's Academy, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-7.

Lincoln Park Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for King's Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Cardinal Newman on the 16th.
