Baseball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage and St. Anthony squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Heritage had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Saints by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Patriots have suffered since March 22nd.

Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Cedillo, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Heritage and nudges their season record down to 19-10. As for St. Anthony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Anthony, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Jurupa Hills on the 20th.
