Gavin Parker Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Starting off the list is Horizon Prep's Gavin Parker, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Parker rushed for 188 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (105.8).

Unfortunately for Borrego Springs, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Parker. Two weeks ago (the last time Parker saw the Rams), he threw for 352 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.

Wyatt Garrabrants Dazzles in Horizon Prep Win

Wyatt Garrabrants posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 180 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards.

Unfortunately for Borrego Springs, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Garrabrants. Garrabrants rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 117 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Rams duked it out two weeks ago.

Alexis Urquidez Turns in Season-Best Effort

Borrego Springs came up short on Friday despite Alexis Urquidez delivering his best game to date. Urquidez picked up 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.

Horizon Prep had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Urquidez it was a similar story. Urquidez rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Lions duked it out two weeks ago.

Lochlan Church Makes It Three for Horizon Prep

Another Horizon Prep player making an appearance on this list is Lochlan Church. He picked up 152 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 65 yards.

Church must have Borrego Springs's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Church picked up 212 receiving yards and four touchdowns the last time he and the Rams duked it out two weeks ago.

Maurico Rodriguez Makes It Two for Borrego Springs

The second Borrego Springs player making an appearance here is Maurico Rodriguez, and for good reason. He picked up 72 receiving yards.

On the season, Rodriguez has averaged 47.6 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 3.13 receiving yards per game.
