Volleyball Recap: BASIS - Mesa vs. Varsity Opponent        
        
		
             BASIS - Mesa put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by  a  3-0 margin over Varsity Opponent.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: BASIS - Mesa took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-8,  25-8.
 BASIS - Mesa's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Bianca Ralph, who  had 15  aces and seven  kills. The dominant performance gave  Ralph a new career-high in  aces. The team also got some help courtesy of  Miria Shikama, who  had six  aces, a  kill, and 15  assists.
 She wasn't the only good server: BASIS - Mesa  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 28  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least 12  aces in seven consecutive  games.
 BASIS - Mesa pushed their record up to 9-0 with the  victory, which was their 15th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 BASIS - Mesa's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on James Madison Preparatory School at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  loss vs. New Life Camp on the 21st.
