Recap: Dillon Christian Warriors vs. Lake View Wild Gators

If the Dillon Christian Warriors were riding high off their 50-20 takedown of the Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Dillon Christian took a serious blow against Lake View on Thursday, falling 65-28. Dillon Christian has struggled against Lake View recently, as their contest on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Lake View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gwendasia Page out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 steals. Page is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaleya Ford, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Dillon Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lake View, their win was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dillon Christian on the road again on Friday and play against King's Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 19th. As for Lake View, they will take on Lamar at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lamar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Lake View is ranked 71st).
