Volleyball Recap: Pflugerville Connally Comes Up Short

Pflugerville Connally was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Hendrickson Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Pflugerville Connally was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 25-13.

Aniya Toney paced Pflugerville Connally's offense, picking up nine kills. Toney got some help from Caroline Benge and her 14 assists. Benge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pflugerville Connally's record is now 5-32. As for Hendrickson, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 16-24 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pflugerville Connally will square off against rival Weiss at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hendrickson is set to take on their familiar foe East View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
