Trevor Brooks posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Chapel Hill is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-17-1 otherwise.

Brooks' strong effort led Chapel Hill over Cumberland Academy and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
