Bloomington Central Catholic had won ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they bumped up to 4-0 to make it 11. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Heyworth Hornets. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aubrey Fair paced Bloomington Central Catholic's offense, picking up ten kills. Fair got some help from Josie Certa and her 15 assists. Certa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Heyworth fell to 3-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lyla Tate, who had ten digs and five kills. Tate is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Hanslow, who had seven digs and four assists.

Bloomington Central Catholic has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against St. Teresa on the 2nd. As for Heyworth, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Maroa-Forsyth on the 2nd.
