Basketball Recap: Kingswood Takes a Loss

Kingswood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Coe-Brown Academy Bears. The Knights lost against the Bears in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 70-28 score last time.

Kingswood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Coe-Brown Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Kingswood will square off against Sanborn Regional at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Kingswood is facing Sanborn Regional at the right time seeing as Sanborn Regional is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Coe-Brown Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Hanover at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coe-Brown Academy will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Hanover will have lost six straight heading into Tuesday's match.
