Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Pacifica Christian's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

There's no place like home for Pacifica Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Western Christian Fighting Lancers on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tritons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Jon Stone tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He is becoming a predictor of Pacifica Christian's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Luke Miller was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Scout Escobedo, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Pacifica Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Western Christian, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Pacifica Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Fighting Lancers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
