Softball Recap: Southwest Raiders vs. Carter-Riverside Eagles
Southwest managed to slip by Carter-Riverside the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders came up short against the Eagles on Tuesday, falling 19-12. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 9-8.
Southwest has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Carter-Riverside, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-9.
