Softball Recap: Baldwin Takes a Loss

Baldwin was the 9-8 winner over Floral Park Memorial when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Wednesday. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liv Pascual spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Akua Bonsu made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Amanda Aguiluz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Floral Park Memorial, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

As of now, neither Baldwin nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
