Basketball Game Preview: Montcalm Generals vs. River View Raiders

Montcalm is 2-8 against River View since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Montcalm Generals will look to defend their home court against the River View Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Saturday, Montcalm came up short against Man and fell 49-41.

Meanwhile, River View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-45 heartbreaker at the hands of Hurley. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 120th in West Virginia, while the Rebels are ranked 421st in Virginia).

Montcalm's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for River View, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Montcalm strolled past River View when the teams last played on Thursday by a score of 66-51. Does Montcalm have another victory up their sleeve, or will River View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
