Basketball Recap: Sleepy Eye Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Mary's, Sleepy Eye was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds by a score of 50-41. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 78-50 back in December of 2024.

Sleepy Eye has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for New Ulm Cathedral, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

When Sleepy Eye and New Ulm Cathedral next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Sleepy Eye will try to stop Lester Prairie's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, New Ulm Cathedral will challenge St. Mary's and their 13-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
