It was a good run, but Liberty unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks 72-29. The Panthers were probably out for revenge after losing 77-38 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Liberty's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-9. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Liberty Panthers face off against the Teague Lions at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they will take on Liberty in a tournament on Thursday. Liberty will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Hardin-Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
