It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Berkeley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Conway Tigers 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Stags as they're now sitting on six straight.

Berkeley pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Conway, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-13.

Berkeley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Conway, they will take on North Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chiefs have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
