Basketball Recap: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee won the last time they faced Charlotte Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles walked away with a 53-41 win over the Charlotte Christian Knights. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Charlotte Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matty Carroll, who posted six points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Saul Lieberman, who had nine points.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for Charlotte Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-52 victory against Mill Creek on the 14th. Charlotte Christian and Forsyth Country Day will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Charlotte Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.1 points per game this season.
