Basketball Game Preview: Parkway Northwest Hoyas vs. Elverson Military Academy

The Parkway Northwest Hoyas and Elverson Military Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Parkway Northwest has five straight victories, Elverson Military Academy has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Parkway Northwest strolled past Girard Academic Music Program with points to spare, taking the game 53-38.

It was another big night for Kahleem Jordan, who posted 20 points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Carter, who put up seven points.

Elverson Military Academy kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by Franklin Learning Center 60-26. Elverson Military Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.

Parkway Northwest pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Elverson Military Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
