Volleyball Recap: Wickliffe Blue Devils vs. Cornerstone Christian Patriots
Wickliffe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cornerstone Christian Patriots. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2020.
While Wickliffe was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-17.
Wickliffe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Cornerstone Christian, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.
Wickliffe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cornerstone Christian is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
