Baseball Game Preview: North Hills Indians vs. Central Catholic Vikings

For the second straight game, North Hills will face off against Central Catholic. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games North Hills has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, North Hills didn't have quite enough to beat Central Catholic and fell 3-1. The Indians have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

For Central Catholic's part, they got a great performance from Josh McFadden as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. McFadden is becoming a predictor of the Vikings' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Central Catholic's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Greene, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

North Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
