Tri-Village came out on top against Newton Local on Thursday thanks in part to Elizabeth Poling's efforts. Poling turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game.
