Volleyball Game Preview: Fowler Redcats vs. Sierra Chieftains

Fowler is 0-7 against Sierra since September of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Redcats will challenge the Chieftains at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Fowler came up short against Chowchilla and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 17-25, 25-16, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Sierra came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Blue Raiders by a score of 3-1.

While Sierra might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Caruthers scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 27-25.

Fowler better keep an eye on Nicole Gibson. She was instrumental in Sierra's win, getting 18 assists and 12 digs. Those 12 digs gave Gibson a new career-high.

Sierra's win bumped their record up to 30-11. As for Fowler, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12-1.

Fowler suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Sierra in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Redcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
