Basketball Game Preview: Perryton Rangers vs. Borger Bulldogs

Perryton is on a six-game streak of home losses, Borger a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Perryton Rangers will welcome the Borger Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Perryton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to Hereford.

Meanwhile, Borger came up short against Canyon on Tuesday and fell 55-44. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 481st, while the Eagles are ranked 17th).

Perryton's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Borger, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Perryton was dealt a bruising 74-45 loss at the hands of Borger in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Perryton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
