Football Recap: Troy Warriors vs. El Dorado Golden Hawks
Troy had lost seven straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 0-10 to make it eight. They took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Dorado Golden Hawks. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
As for El Dorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average over those games.
Among those leading the charge was Victoria Correa, who threw for 240 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of her passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Those 240 passing yards gave her a new career-high. A healthy portion of Correa's aerial production (101 yards to be exact) went to Julia Laguilles.
